Cranberry Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 C water
  • 2/3 C sugar
  • 1/2 C apples, peeled, diced
  • 1 oranges, peeled, finely diced
  • 12 oz. cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/3 C apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1/8 tsp cloves, ground

Directions

  • Wash and dry produce
  • Peel the apple and orange and dice into small pieces.

Prepare

  • Bring water, sugar, apple, and orange to a boil using medium heat in a saucepan.
  • Add remaining ingredients; return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the apples are tender. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly on the sauce.
  • Cool to room temperature and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend. Best if served at room temperature.
