Mise en place
- Peel and crush garlic.
- Measure out all the ingredients.
Prepare
- Over medium heat, heat oil in a saucepan until hot.
- Add all ingredients, cover, and bring to a boil.
- Uncover and lower heat. Allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
- Allow to cool before spreading on pizza dough.
Serve and enjoy!
CHEF’S TIP:
If you prefer to use fresh herbs, substitute 3 times the amount of fresh herbs for the dried herbs. For example, instead of 1 tsp dried oregano, use 3 tsp (3 tsp=1 Tbsp) fresh oregano.
